The Informed Pastor
I have met many counselors who feel that they do not have support for their ministry from their own pastor. If this is the case, perhaps thinking through the following questions may provide the groundwork for an increased communication between you and he.
What do you believe the pastor’s perception of you and/or ministry is?
If these perceptions are not accurate, how can you help him replace them with truths?
What are his fears?
How can you help alley his fears?
What is your heart attitude toward your pastor and you churchs’ treatment/attitude toward hurting people?
What “chips” do you have on your shoulder?
What does the pastor need to know about hurting people?
What other things of importance does he need to be informed about?
